All of my hand built jugs, bowls and spoons are designed and made individually by hand and therefore no two are exactly the same.

A range of patterns and found objects including screws, nails and buttons and linocuts of hares, fish and stars are impressed into the clay. Many have hand made sprigs of stars, flowers and birds incorporated into each design.

 

Each jug, bowl and spoon is painted and glazed by hand, using my own range of softly coloured glazes and then gilded with gold in order to create a sumptuous, tactile feel to each piece.  All of the jugs and bowls are patterned and glazed underneath,  which gives a different dimension to the piece when pouring from a jug or picking up a bowl.
